(ASCEND) USR xjack pcmcia modem

Hi all,

I have a customer who uses his laptop to connect to our service. He uses a
28.8 USR xjack pcmcia modem. He can never connect to our ascend max, it seems
as if the handshake keeps trying to renegotiate over and over. He dials into
our PM3 and connects without a problem. He can also connect to the
competition with no problem (which uses 3Com). I have tried
strings, drivers, you name it on his modem. Any, and I mean any, suggestions
or explanations would be greatly appreciated.
