Not much.  If you want to use some of the Lucent specific features you'd
have to switch to Lucent's server or patch Ascend's. (Connect-Rate for
example).  But both servers overlap on the standards support currently.
Lucent RADIUS 2.1 will add Proxy and VSA support, which I think the free
Ascend RADIUS lacks.  (2.1 is in beta now.)

All standards compliant RADIUS servers - that's the nice thing about it
being a standard. :-)  The only variations are value-add server features -
additional capabilities on the backend to manipulate the standard attributes.
But the actual server-NAS communication is standard.
