RE: (ASCEND) P50 & forgotten password?



Another approach if you can still reach the P50 over IP:
Use a tftp server and download your actual config via SNMP if you know the RW community or this comminutiy has not been set.

set sysConfigTftpHostAddr to your tftp-server.
set sysConfigTftpFilename to a full qualified file which must exist and have rw- rights for everyone.
set sysConfigTftpCmd to 1 (do tsave).

If this works you should be able to read the passwords from the file.

Note: TFTP is not routable, tftp-server must be in the same segment as the P50.
