RE: (ASCEND) Accounting records

Tim,

Make sure you have

Ascend-Data-Rate

In your dictionary file. There are a whole bunch of Ascend specific things
you may want to make sure you have, including

Ascend-Disconnect-Cause
Ascend-Connect-Progress

Also, you'll want a RADIUS package that supports it.

Subject: (ASCEND) Accounting records

Hi,
Being from a previously all-portmaster shop, some of the things we have
become accustomed to seeing are sometimes difficult to find on an
Ascend. One of the things we've recently discovered isn't quite the same
is the radius account logging. On the Portmasters, there was a
connect-info that logged the modem speed, compression, and error correction
in both the start and the stop record. Is there anything similar in the
MAXTNT that we are missing that would at least show us the initial modem
speed negotiated and the final modem speed?

Thanks,
Tim
