RE: (ASCEND) backup MAX 4048 config

So incredibly pessimistic... seriously man, assend boxes aren't quite *that*
unreliable...

But, to answer your question,

from diag:

tsave server path/to/config
trestore server path/to/config

If you have an ewnix box, you'll likely just need to uncomment or add the
tftp service in inetd.conf (man tftpd for information on setting this up).
If you're using windoze, you'll need to track down a win32s tftp server
(might be one on Assend's FTP site, if not, you can find one on Crisco's.

**
**
** I'm new to the Ascend thing...I just bought 2 Ascend MAX
** 4048's...Nice and
** easy to set up. I'm bringing in 2 T1's per MAX,for a total of 48
** 56k lines
** each. One is used as a hot stand-by in case my main ones takes a poop.
**
** How can I easily backup(and restore) the Max's config.........
** I can do a
** SYSTEM> SYS DIAG> SAVE CFG
**
** But when I do it this way it just dumps the config to my screen.....
** I'd like to dump it to a file..
