I haven't done a complete check on the connect rates our customers
get with Ap38, but a stable 31200 connect isn't too bad, IMHO.

Now that's more of a problem. 
What disconnect causes are you seeing?
BTW, as far as I remember the standard idle-timeout was around 3 minutes?!
