(ASCEND) Urgent TNT problem
Hello there - asking for help on our current major TNT problem.
We have 20 TNT shelfs. Half of them are running 1.3Ap24 and are equipped
with K56 modems. The others are running 1.3A, 1.3Ap2 or 1.3Ap6 and are
equipped with V34 modems.
The 10 shelfs running 1.3Ap24 has today all stopped communicating on alle
interfaces (looks like) except for some small 10 sec periods (ping alive)
once per abt. 5 minutes.
We hare also about 100 4000s - all still running without problems.
A hareware boot of a sick TNT does help - but just for a small amount of
time before the problem rearrives - time enough for downgrading to 1.3Ap6.
After another reboot, the problem has gone !!
We are using snmp for e.g. getting modem usage and so. For about 3 days
ago all our TNT-s stopped responding to snmp requests, I do nok know if
this has something to do with this situation.
Finaly I should say that this has nothing to do (as i can see right
now) with the ongoing security issue on Ascend equipment, because we have
discarded any udp packets on the mentioned port.
I hope someone can give us a hint to make the troubbleshuting go further.
