Ah! I have yet to see a code version in which I am satisfied with the
stability of MLFR, though it's finally almost there. What kind of code
are you using?

Faster how? It's slower to come up because LMI has to exchange several
rounds of status packets before the link is declared up. Do you mean
the actual exchange of packets once the link is up?

Agreed. Ascend has also helped us a lot over the past several months!
