Re: (ASCEND) advise on 7.0.4
This has been the best code we have used, except that 40%-60% of all 56K
V.90
or K56 modem users *must* update their modem code.
The good news, if they do, they get a very good connects. However, if
they
do not, their modem that *before* the update will either not connect,
continually diconnect, or run very slow (1.2K) or so.
Best example, is a Rockwell HFC chip set.
Most USR v.90's do not seem to exhibit this behavior.
