Many of us have smelled smoke before (stuff happens). Over the weekend I
had a 16-mod card literally burn up (the surface mount chips just slid off
the card) in a 4048 chassis.  This has never happened in the year that I
have been here. Does anyone have any similar experiences or shall I write
it off as a statistical certainty?
