We use Solaris on mission critical apps and FreeBSD on extraneous
monitoring, etc.
I agree that Ascends list of supported UNIX OS is paltry. I can,
understand their reluctance to try to support the freeware OS, but you
have to support what your customers are using. Obviously, Linux has very
wide support among their user group. Pick RH as your support base and
address individual kernel hack issues on a case by case basis.
