You would be better of using an unnumbered ISDN link.
For the Cisco the command is ip unnumbered ethernet0 under the serial interface
configuration.
For the Ascend have the WAN Alias the same as the ip for the Cisco's ethernet. Leave
the IF Adrs blank.
