You have to type them really fast. If you're typing them as fast as you
can, and it still doesn't work, you might not have access to the debug
mode. To get to the debug mode, you must be in a security profile that
has field service set to yes. To switch to such a profile, you'd press
control-D, P, and then select a profile with the proper access (such as
the Full Access profile) and enter the password.
In some revisions of the software, you can hit control-D, D to get to
debug mode. This doesn't bypass the necessity to be in a profile with
field service access, and I think it wasn't introduced until a late 4.6Ci
or maybe 5.0. If you're in a profile with field service access and
there's no "D=Diagnostics" on the control-D menu then you still need to
hit the esc[esc=.
By the way, that's the escape key, not the letters e-s-c, but I assume
you knew that :-).
If you're SNMP managing your machines, you can also initiate a TFTP
transfer over SNMP.
