We've had users get higher levels by using Stac in Win95 and the Stac card
in a PM-3, and turning of V.42bis in the modems. You could try using Stac
and the Stac-9 in the MAX to see if you cna better the 11.2k speeds. You
probably can. Users also report this drops latency a good deal, which
makes Quakers happy.

They already replaced it on the Netserver line - and users have been less
than pleased with the change, judging by the usr-tc mailing list. And still
no OSPF.

Which is deliberate. We do everything we can to *avoid* adding bells
and whistles. We do not want ot do everything, and don't want to make
everyone happy. We want to do a few things, but do them reliably and well.
