Another option (if you must use a TA) is the Zyxel Omni TA128
it has two serial ports, you can do async->sync ppp in either direction,
inbound calls, or outbound, handled automaticly by the hardware,
on either serial port or both as seperate calls,
or MP bond (in the hardware) both channels over the same serial port.
(plus it has two POTS jacks like most other TAs)
