(ASCEND) Correction - 1.3Ap5 for MAX TNT




1.3Ap5 updated release notes have been placed on the FTP server.  These
release notes have been updated to include changes made in the 1.3Ap4 release.

* New multishelf management features
* R2 signaling support for E1
* Additional hardware tests for SWAN cards
* V.34 option for 56k modem cards
* Ascend Tunnel Management Protocol (ATMP) support


Corrections:

TR      Description

2157    The max-call-duration parameter now works for both PPP
           and terminal-server calls.
2531    The Netstat command no longer shows T-Online DTPT 
           interfaces in domestic loads.
N/A     A progress indication is now provided for Load or Save
           commands.
N/A     Firewall error messages have been fixed.
N/A     Frameline memory is no longer depleted under heavy 
           packet traffic.
N/A     RADIUS messages now identify retry attempts.
N/A     Slot -d command now checks shelf numbers correctly 
           on multishelf systems.
N/A     Memory corruption in L2/L3 control blocks no longer
           occurs when an ISDN line is disconnected.
N/A     RADIUS accounting START and STOP packets now have
           guaranteed delivery.
N/A     RADIUS dialout routes are now exported properly into OSPF.
N/A     RADIUS reply messages are no longer truncated.
N/A     IP broadcast addresses are no longer cached.
N/A     D4 framing and 56K data service now work on Frameline cards.


Rockwell code:

* Release 1.3Ap5 supports Rockwell K56 version 1.054 code with V.FC support.


Known problems in 1.3Ap5:

* Occasionally, when migrating to release 1.3Ap5, a system with multiple
shelves has been seen to have an Ethernet card failure with Error 3001. A
Reset -f command restores the Ethernet connectivity.
* If an HDLC mobile client dials in with Stac compression on, the HDLC card
in the ATMP foreign agent fails with a Fatal 15 error message.
* The MAX TNT does not yet work as an ATMP home agent in router mode.
