(ASCEND) Disconnects on the MAX 4000's



Since we have changed all of our old modems to Ascend MAX 4000s we have
been having a lot of complaints about people getting disconnected at
random, and also people having all of their downloads just freeze up.  I
have experienced this myself also.  You are downloading a file and all of
the sudden the remote modem stops responding,  The clients modem keeps
sending packets but the remote side never responds back.

Anyone have any ideas??  Could it be some bad modems (I hope not because
that means I have to go through 40 boxes and that is in just one city).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..  

By The Way, we are running 5.0Ap10 on all of the boxes, and the boxes all
have 8mod 33.6 modem cards in them.
