Re: (ASCEND) pipeline 50 at Alcatel PBX

     Hi Robert,

I had the same problem on a Alcatel PBX switch 2 years ago. It was
with an ISDN card, not an Ascend product.
You need to check by removing the ISDN local number on your ascend
     equipment.
If it does not work, try with an ISDN local number = the 4 last digits
     !!!

It is something wrong with the configuration of the ISDN local
number..... (sorry, it was 2 years ago and I have a small brain..)

The fault is not on the ascend products, but on the combination of
your Alcatel PBX + ISDN Equipement.

     Hope this will help you,

     Jean-Michel

Hi,

I've connected a pipeline 50 via a digital handset to a Alcatel private
switch, which should place and receive calls to and from my home PC.

At home everything works fine, I can connect to the Ascend testsite.
In the office I am not able to setup a call to the Ascend testsite.
The call is cleared with cause 31. After a few seconds the pipeline goes
nuts and I have to reset it.

If I connect the pipeline directly to the PRI, everything works ok.
I complained to my Telco which checked the S0 bus and they were able,
with their test equipment, to setup a datacall to their testsite.

Apparently, it is not the pipeline, it is not the switch, but it is the
combination of the two.
Does anybody recognise this problem, does anybody know a email address of
Alcatel to ask for their support?

regards,
Robert.
