The server re-reads the file frequently, changes appear to happen very
quickly once the file is changed.  On Digital UNIX I have to use "sed"
to write a new file, because if I "mv" it into place it is not detected.

The code checks the inode number and the revision time.

You don't have to reset the server.

I do this using the sequencer module.  See the file sequencer/30 for
an example used within Digital.
