Re: [TCLUG:14370] Linuxcare contact



As much as this seems to be a common solution to "cloning" that
the Linux world likes to use, what about the 2GB filesize limit?  I can't
dd my machines like that, because ext2 can't handle anything bigger
than a 2GB file.  Or perhaps most everybody out there these days has 
Alphas, and I've just missed the boat...

What if they're not...

tar.gz the files, and use some dd hackery to store MBR's and
bootsectors? ...
