Re: [TCLUG:14344] IPChains packet logging

I'm using 2.2.14 (have been for a while), and IPchains, and
it seems to be logging everything fine for me.

Subject: [TCLUG:14344] IPChains packet logging

I finally noticed (thanks to hping2 and win98 ping on my roommate's
computer) that packet logging appears to be broken in IPchains in kernel
2.2.14. Am I right, or is my computer just snafued?

It does appear that packets from outside hosts get dropped if I want
them to be dropped, they just don't get logged.. (though I think some
packets may still be getting through the rulesets -- now I wish I'd
fought for one of those bootable business cards yesterday, so I could do
some more extensive testing using my roommate's computer ;-)
