 I thought that was already in place.  I know crossfire has regexp library
built in, and I thought the only place it was used was for matching phrases.

 Certainly converting all the docs to html might not be a bad idea.  However,
most of the player level docs (versus developer docs) are already in html - at
least the playbook has an html version.
