Yeah, I was ASSUMING they would be using gtk client, which has this as 
a drop down menu...

No, mark does not do what I said, although I mentioned this to Mark
Wedel and it sounds like it will be in the next version. I'll hack my
own patch sometime today or tomorrow and I'll put it on the list. The
way it works now is (as far as I read it in the code; anybody correct
me if I'm wrong) that it starts at the top of your inventory and
identifies all the items going downwards until it runs out of money
(the money that you dropped). It will not identify the objects lying
on the ground (I thought it would do this too; for some reason I think
that's how Nethack does something...)

Right, I forgot the proper terminology. Interesting (about the
specialized pick ups). But the quiver will only pick up arrows if the
"pick up mode" allows it, right?
