That's how you (and we) do it. It works as advertised as long as the 
Pipe 130 software is current (there were various related bugs in 
earlier releases) and you do it exactly as Lucent suggests on esight, 
with the backup profile being the _first_ profile and the T1 listed 
later.

I've only used it in a situation where the far end T1 and backup ISDN 
terminated in a single RAS (a TNT), in which case the same 
primary/backup profiles exist on each end. I've never tried in a 
situation where backup was a different device, so YMMV. It should 
just be a case of running a routing protocol and getting the routing 
preferences right.

BTW, as I need to run RIP over the backup (when it's up), I found 
that a Call filter that filters RIP was required in order for the 
link to drop. Experiment to see what works for you.
