This is definitely good advice for improving the longevity of a 40xx.

However, what I'm referring to is that people have repeatedly stated 
on this list over the years that 40xxs slow down measurably with all 
four T1 ports in use. I have never used all four ports on a 4000 much 
less attempted to measure any performance hit, but I thought Tim 
might want to know what people were saying before he leaps in. With 
any luck, someone who actually knows the facts on this first-hand 
will leap in shortly and bang us on the head with the gory details.
