The way we get around this, is by removing any static routes for the modem
subnets from our router, then enabling RIP in the router and the MAX.
Now our router only carries routes for connected users. Any attempt to
reach a non-connected user results in a 'host unreachable' message.
Also, you may want to set up your router to filter out the 'fake' route.
I know this is pretty easy to do in CiscoLand.
