Re: (ASCEND) null route for disconnected dial-up users?

> Is there a solution for the packet-bouncing problem?

Ascend has a semi-hack for this. It has two interfaces, rj0 and bh0, with
addresses 127.0.0.2 and 127.0.0.3, respectively. Any packet sent to rj0
will cause an ICMP unreachable, while packets to bh0 are simply dropped on
the floor. So you can either set up a 'null route' to 127.0.0.2 or
127.0.0.3, doesn't make much difference.
