(ASCEND) Re: ascend-users-digest V96 #1752

We recently got our first 6096.  We have been running 4048's before this.
When you dial into the 6096 it answers with a low tone that the 4048's did
not have.  We are running the 7.0.22 code on all the 4048's and the 6096.

This low tone seems to mess with some modems when they try to handshake
with each other.  What does this new low tone do and is there a way to
disable it?
