Re: (ASCEND) Pipeline 130 NVRAM Full

Hi Rick,

What you have is correct except the syntax is NVRAMCLEAR - you can find out
more and obtain a document you can print at http://aos.ascend.com then select
Pipeline Products / Pipeline General / and go down to Technical Tip category
and select Upgrading Software on a Pipeline 25,50,75, 85,130,220

 If your friend is wanting to start with a clean config - and it sounds like he
does - then he may find the nvram full message goes away - but if after
configuring he still gets it -
there are some methods of deleting unused filters that will free up some more
memory.

I have pasted a note below I got from Ascend Tech Support regarding this
procedure.

Good luck,

The errors you're getting are from the Pipeline running out of memory. The
commands below might help you get back some memory to make the changes you are
trying.

Removing Filters: If you aren't using filters, you can use this
statement to remove them from your Pipeline, thus saving the space that
they would normally take up. First, go to System...Sys Diag...Restore
Cfg... When you come to the prompt that ask you to begin uploading your
config, type the line below (this would remove your first data filter,
by default 20-401 IP Call). You can continue doing this with all the
filters (if you don't use them) with 200=1 being 402, and 200=2 being
403.

START=FILT=200=0
END=FILT=200=0

Removing Connection profiles: In the same way that we can remove
connection profiles. At the same prompt as above, issue the command
below. This would remove connection profile 107.

START=CONN=200=7
END=CONN=200=7

When you finish issuing these commands, hit ctrl-c to return to the
menues, then reboot your unit. Remember that you are talking directly
to the text file of the configuration. The parameters should be typed
in EXACTLY AS ABOVE, including case. If you make a mistake, hit ctrl-c,
you will get back to the Restore Cfg window, and then you can try it
again. If you have any further questions, please let us know.
