Based on the blurb that you quote here, I would expect that Rockwell will
have v.PCM modems and modem code out the same time as everybody else. It
would be extremely foolish of them to delay adoption of this standard.
That would antagonize everyone using the Rockwell modem code, for no good
reason. They do say "until a standard is deployed," I take that to mean
that when the standard is deployed, they will convert from K56Flex to
v.PCM in a timely fashion.
My guess is that they are simply not showing a lot of interest in these
testing phases (though I don't know why).
