(ASCEND) Pipeline 400 RIP woes..

I'm baffled by my Pipeline 400s inability to
receive RIP broadcasts from a Cisco 2501.

I'm hoping someone on this list will have
some insight to the problem.

Here's the data:

Ascend Pipeline 400 4.6Cp15 code
Cisco 2501 IOS 10.3(17)

Cisco calls the Ascend (via Adtran ISU 128).
The call gets set up fine. Authentication
goes through.

On the ascend in diag, I run ripdebug and
see "RIP: sending update(s)...".

On the Cisco I run "debug ip rip" and see
the Cisco send routes to the Ascend and
see the Cisco receive routes from the Ascend.

I never see the Ascend receive routes from
the Cisco even though Cisco says its sending
them. Also, 'iproute show' on Ascend
confirms its not adding routes learned from
the cisco.

The Ascend is set up under Ethernet->
Mod Config->Ether options->RIP
Both-v1.

Also, Ethernet->Answer->Session options->
RIP=Both-v1 and my radius entry for the
user has the Framed-Routing entry set to
Broadcast-Listen.  Diag with RADIF shows
the Ascend receiving the Framed-Routing
attribute with the right value for
Broadcast-Listen.

So what gives? Whats the trick to get this
thing to take routes from the ISDN link?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,
John
