(ASCEND) NAT: more or less..

One more thing I have noticed - In debug mode, when I display the NAT
table (with the "napt" command), here is a small portion of what I get:

NAPT_DYNA: siz:500 = [1.2.3.4];
defaultServer:192.0.0.9;
192.0.0.65:4271:80:0x6-*expired* = 4240
192.0.0.65:4272:80:0x6-*expired* = 4239
192.0.0.65:4273:80:0x6-*expired* = 4238
192.0.0.65:4274:80:0x6-*expired* = 4237
192.0.0.65:4275:80:0x6-*expired* = 4236
192.0.0.65:4276:80:0x6-*expired* = 4235
192.0.0.65:4277:80:0x6-*expired* = 4234

I am new to this, but these look like www requests (port 80) from an
internal machine (.65) which have since expired. Is there any reason they
are now taking up room in the NAT table? Excluding all the "expired"
entries, there are only a few entries left, and the table would be *much*
smaller...

Also, Ascend did not mention it (and the only NAT info I have found on
their website is apparently old, and not entirely correct anymore), but I
turned on "Reuse Last Addr" and set the timeout to 30 (sec?) I was hoping
this would remove old entries from the table, but it looks like not...

Thanks again for anyones comments....
