Re: (ASCEND) APEX Rapid Transit modem
Hey ... I'm really kinda new to this, but the same thing happened to some of my
customers. I tried connecting this customer to some of my friends (thanks Tim and Jeff)
who also had MAX K56 modems and everything worked fine. Then I tried fooling the local
CO by dialing from the customers location to my MAX using an AT&T long distance prefix
(it was only a local call) and it worked! That's when I knew I had something to
complain about. I went around and around and finally ... the fix was made by removing
ALL db padding at the CO. Now my PRI lines are set to 0db and everything works great
(kinda). Don't trust the MAXs ability to since db padding ... make the CO set it to 0!
