(ASCEND) Static routes?

Hi,
	The story is, we have a static route within the max which routes
a 16 ip subnet to a dial in customer.  Now for some strange reason the max
loses the routes from its table, until i actually deactivate the route
then reactivate it again and it works a treat.  I shouldn't need to do
this all the time, it works sometimes and other times it doesnt, any
ideaS?
