(ASCEND) Single Slot modem card power req?

I am about to install some TNT-SL-48MOD-SGL single slot cards into a TNT
which came with the old dual height modem cards.  I've heard that these
CSMX cards require new power supplies (the ones with the cable clamp).  But
if I am only putting 4 cards into the chasis (with all old dual slot mod
cards removed), do I need to worry about the old power supply blowing up?

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.
