yes, the Ascend BACP in releases before 6.0 was pre-standard
and not compatible with cisco BACP.
I no longer support the customer who had that cisco device,
so I can't verify what software it had on it,
but we were running 6.0 beta 0 on our Max at the time,
so it was supported on the cisco software from at least november
or december of last year...
