This was overly optimistic. Our Max 1800 BRI lines STILL don't come up
after reset. This is consistent on two chassis. All the lines come from
the same switch, less than a block away.
In fact, the problem is very persistent even after loading 5.0Ap48.
Hasn't Ascend started TESTING their fixes yet? I'd probably show a
little more restraint if you hadn't gotten our hopes up.
The real problem is that we can't reboot these routers remotely. And
we have to reboot them a lot because there are so many software bugs.
Ascend keeps reassuring us that their products work for most people. Maybe
some of those people want to buy ours so we can get our Cisco gear in place.
