(ASCEND) keeping auth info with solaris box

I know this is a dumb question, but I think I'm missing something.

I need my max to use the same userid/password data that my solaris boxes
are using.  

I know that I can set up a users file, with each userid ennurmerated
separately, that will tell radius to use the solaris box password database
for authentication.

But how do I avoid ennumerating the users separately in the users file? 
Can I just tell radius to use all of the solaris login names and
passwords?  Or do I have to write scripts to render a users file from the
solaris database?
