(ASCEND) NET5 PRI problem

On a few occasions, we have experienced a problem with our Euro-ISDN
(NET5) PRIs: when a MAX (5.0Ap[27,48]) is reset (either power cycle or
soft reset) all comes up reporting OK (LA = Link Active on the PRI status
display) but the PRI is not receiving calls (then the users are revolting,
with accusations of our number being "busy"). We have a Ticket (2000220)
open with Ascend Asia-Pacific TAC, (but AFAIK no TR yet).

According to the Telco, several channels were blocked and there were
"calls in progress", but at this time the MAX is reporting no calls in
progress on that line. My gut feeling is that somehow the exchange is not
aware that the MAX has been restarted and thinks the previous calls are
still up. Our experience is that the fault can be cleared by:

* resetting the MAX and hoping it works this time (doesn't go down well
with the users on other lines ;-)
* having the Telco reset the PRI
* physically disconnecting the PRI, waiting for Red Alarm, then
re-connecting (somewhat inconvenient if the POP in question happens to be
~2,000km away ;-).

Is anyone else having any similar problems that correlate with this one?

Thanks,

PS: apart from this issue, the Australian Euro-ISDN lines ("OnRamp"
Primary Rate) appear to work just fine with the MAX4000.
