(ASCEND) Re: bridis decoder

Kevin, Matt,

as this topic comes up again & again & again - could you put decoder.exe

"This is Marc's trace decoder, built on Aug 22 1997
(mbongartz@ascend.com)"

back onto ftp.ascend.com ?

I understand it was kind of an oversight to post it originally. I was
just
lucky to grab it before Ascend withdrew it.

It is the _number one_ tool helping me to maintain Ascend routers !

Shortly after the withdrawal I contacted the author who was not willing
to release it into public. Very sad.

Now, couldn't you try to make it available again? It is of very limited
use to non-professionals but invaluable for those really trying to keep
Ascend gear running. Or maybe give your users some hints why _not_ to
publish it?

TIA,

   Wolfgang
