Re: (ASCEND) UNIX Connections to MAX 6000
I'm not sure about FreeBSD but in linux we sometimes have to add
ipcp-accept-remote and ipcp-accept-local to our pppd command line so that we
can accept a dynamic address assignment. Trying to force a dynamic address
will cause the connection to fail if pppd is looking for a static address.
This most often happens when using demand dialing which requires the user to
"have" a local and remote ip.
