(ASCEND) radipad and TNT secondary address (fwd)

Adding a secondary ip to a TNT with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 
(running software version 7.0.0, 7.0.1, 7.0.3 etc it doesn't matter what
version) Doesn't work.  The TNTs won't route to any external host that
has an ip out of secondary's class C.   Any suggestions?

Secondary ip's seem to work on the maxes and on the cisco's.

I want it to work on the TNT's too becuase we want to use radipad so we
can have global ip pools.  We have to use a class C of ips and put a
secondary ip from the class c on each of our maxen and TNTs.
Then a customer logs into any of said routers and gets an ip from the
radipad pool.
