You cannot mix sizes of V.34 cards at all, a 4000 can use
either 8-port or 12-port cards but not both at the same time.
an 1800 can use 8-port cards, and a 2000 can use 12-port cards.
While I have never tried it, as I have only 16-port cards,
I remember reading that you _can_ mix different sizes of K56 cards,
and that any size card can be used in any of the 1800/2000/4000/6000.
