Here Here! I'm one of those who have begun to question the quality. As
a test into the wild world of digital NAS equipment, I chose as my first
purchase the MAX 2024. On the whole it has been fairly reliable, but it
has definitely had its quirks. After the UDP bug, and the apparent apathy
that Ascend displayed...I think my next purchase will be a Cisco. True,
they have their problems too, but at least they seem to care about fixing
them in a timely manner (before the equipment is *completely* depreciated
out, at least).
I personally still like the Pipeline series...and recommend them to people,
but I can't in good conscience recommend a MAX to anyone in the market for
server equipment.
