(ASCEND) Ethernet RIP on Max 6.0.0
I just installed 6.0.0 on my 4002 (ftbak.m40) and can't get any RIP info
sent on the ehternet port. I have Ethernet/Mod config/Ether Options/RIP set
to Both-v1. It receives RIP and updates the ip routing table but does not
send any RIP according to both a packet sniffer and a cisco on the same
ethernet that should receive it. The Rip Summary setting (which might
affect the routes I really want to get) has no effect.
The Max does have two addresses defined on the ethernet port. Could that be
a problem? It all worked fine in 5.0Ap38 and previous.
I've solved the immediate problem with a static route in the cisco, but I'd
like to understand what's (not) happening. Anyone clues out there?
