Depends on whether you want to enable finger on the Maxen at all. Of
course you may be able to filter it, but that's not really simple to
achieve. SNMP does have at least a little bit of privacy due to the
community name.
I've just updated my sessions.max Scotty script which is available
at the usual place (http://www.ibh.de/~beck/stuff/scotty/) and when
talking to agents with MIB >= 3.3 shows if{In,Out}Octets so one can
easily detect bandwidth-eaters al well as probably erroneous dialins
due to packet leakage, hanging TCPs etc. The VT100 is up to the limit
now, maybe I'll try it again with Tk - and give it a kick option ;)
