(ASCEND) Pipline 130 T1 line testing

Does anyone have a procedure for testing the condition of a T1 line
connecting two P130s?  I'm particulary interested in what sort of loopback
tests we can run.  Also, any idea what the difference between 'Line
Loopback' and 'Relay loopback' is?  There seems to be no documentation on
this sort of thing out there.  Any pointers you can give me are greatly
appreciated.
