A word of caution here. The later 5.0Ap patch releases defer IPCP 
negotiations if any kind of link compression is enabled. Instead of 
doing this silently MAX uses the notorious TermAck sequence. 
This breaks the ISPA-suite of ISDN-CAPI ppp-driver shims 
(quite popular in Germany) if the clients are not upgrading to the 
current revision.
