According to the release notes, 6.0 supports the Filter-ID attribute. 
I haven't tested it yet, but am planning to do so RSN.
BTW, we upgraded our max4000 to 6.0 today. Since it's still the old
thin load (eik.m40), the upgrade was absolutely painless and
straightforward. More important, it appears to work fine :) (uptime
7 hours and counting)...
