(ASCEND) Pipeline 50/Telnet

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on a  Pipeline 50 phenomenon:

We're a corporate site (a hospital to be exact) with sites on ISDN dialing into  MAX4000's.  The MAXen and Pipelines are all running 4.6Bp26.  Some of the
Pipelines (perhaps 1/3rd) cannot be telnetted into for management.   They
function perfectly in all other aspects,  and are manageable by serial port, but
telnet hangs attempting to connect.  They are dialed up and not telnet
passworded.

Any ideas?
